परमा एकादशी (Parama Ekadashi)

Parama Ekadashi is the Krishna Ekadashi of Adhik Maas, the additional lunar month, not a festival with a fixed annual month. Its checked New Delhi Smarta reference date was Thursday, 11 June 2026, and has passed. Valkala has not published its next date; do not carry this date into 2027. This hub explains the calendar distinction and offers optional complete Vishnu prayers, and links the complete selected Vrataraja katha, not a formal vow manual. Dates can differ by location and tradition.

A simple household outline. Customs differ by family, region and tradition; follow your own tradition or priest where it differs.

Krishna fortnight, not the other Adhik Ekadashi

Parama Ekadashi belongs to the Krishna fortnight of Adhik Maas; Padmini is the other named Adhik Ekadashi. Their date records and page intents remain separate. Adhik refers to an additional lunar month, not to an extra fast inserted into every calendar year. A month label on the 2026 calendar does not establish an annual recurrence.

Historical date and next-date boundary

The 2026 New Delhi yearly lists from Drik Panchang and AstroSage agree on 11 June 2026. This is a historical reference checked on 3 October 2026, not an upcoming event. The inspected AstroSage 2027 list has no Parama Ekadashi entry; absence there is not a calculated next date or a universal claim about every regional calendar. No 2027 or later date, alternate tradition date or parana clock time is published here.

Complete selected account, separate reader

The linked Parama reader now covers all 67 numbered units and its own colophon from the 1897 Vrataraja, with a full comparison of the catalogued 1884 print and original Hindi, Roman-Hindi and English. It includes the whole opening and closing discourse, not only the character story. The source explicitly names Parama; Kamala/Kamada chapters are not renamed. Traditional ritual and benefit claims remain contextual, not a formal household manual or guarantees.

Optional devotion without guaranteed outcomes

Prayer is optional, including without fasting. Poverty and hardship are not proof of moral fault, and devotion is not a guaranteed income or debt remedy. No compulsory donation, five-day austerity or liberation guarantee is offered. This household outline is not a substitute for a complete formal vrat manual; ordinary care and treatment take priority.
